About Korea Answered
Korea Answered gives short, sourced answers to the questions people ask before and during a stay in Korea. Can I work here? How do I pay for the subway? Do I need a K-ETA?
What this site is
Each answer gives a verdict (Yes, No, Depends or Guide), the reason in a sentence or two, and a link to the official source we read. Every answer also shows the day we last checked it.
The site is for visitors, students, workers and new residents. It is in English only for now.
Who runs it
Korea Answered is run by the owner of GrantKorea.com, an independent publisher. The owner decides what is published and fixes mistakes that readers report. You can reach us on the contact page.
This is not an official site
Korea Answered is not a government site and is not connected to any ministry, agency or company named on it. We do not handle visas, permits or applications, and we cannot tell you whether your own application will be approved. Nothing here is legal advice.
How we use AI tools
We use AI tools, including Claude from Anthropic, to help find official sources, read them and draft answers. Before an answer is published, a script checks things like whether the links open, whether money amounts carry a date and whether the FAQ matches the data search engines read.
AI can still be wrong. That is why every answer names its source and the date we checked it, and why we want to hear about mistakes. Read how the checks work on How we verify.
